What to Use:
Glass Vase/Urn (I used an 8" Athena Vase) Foam Brick Red String Raffia Scarecrow Pick 5 Pencil Cattails (Brown) 6-8 Chrysanthemums (Red/Orange) 6-8 Gerbera Daisies (Orange, Yellow, & Peach) Assortment Fall Colored Maple Leaves 4 Purple Eucalyptus Stems Purple Filler Flowers (Your Choice)
1. Cut the foam brick and insert into the vase. Wrap raffia around the foam to cover it from view and add an extra fall touch to the arrangement.
2. Insert the 5 cattails in a fan shape where the back of your arrangement will be.
3. Insert the 4 eucalyptus stems along the back as well (between the cattail stems).
4. Fill in your arrangement randomly with the chrysanthemums and gerbera daises ranging in height from about 6" below the cattails to the vase.
5. With the maple leaves and the purple filler flowers (to bring out the purple in the eucalyptus), fill in the rest of the arrangement to make it nice and full!
6. Finally, place the scarecrow pick in the center of your arrangement and tie a few long, loose pieces of the raffia around the top of the vase (as you would a ribbon).
Hopefully, your final arrangement should look something like this:
